Medical Director Hospitalist
Strong Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to join an established hospitalist team located in Kentucky.
Job Details: The Medical Director at this site will lead and manage the hospital medicine physicians and advanced practice providers and the department on a day-to-basis and serve as the liaison between the hospitalists, administration, medical staff, and nursing.
EDH Team Features: 4 Physician FTEs, and FT APP coverage. Program: 7 on/7 off Schedule. Monthly Director Stipend or time buy down. EMR: Cerner and Patient Keeper. Enjoy a collaborative partnership with your emergency medicine colleagues.
Candidate Profile: Candidates must be an M.D. or DO. and Board Certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Have proven clinical and metrics driven leadership experience. Observation Medicine experience preferred.
Reporting Structure: The Medical Director will report directly to the Chair, Department of Emergency Medicine and Chief Medical Officer.
Compensation: This high-visibility leadership position delivers an excellent compensation package.
Facility Information: A 400+ bed, primary adult teaching hospital. The emergency medicine department has 43 patient treatment areas in a 30,000 sq. ft. space with an annual census of around 50,000 patients. Many of the hospital’s clinical programs have achieved national rankings for excellence
